caulk seams
Fill gaps and seams using the latex caulk.
Adornador components can be used to enhance interior or exterior doorways and windows. When installing an interior Adornador treatment, use a premium paintable, siliconized or super latex latex adhesive caulk as an adhesive and trim head drywall screws to secure components in place. For an exterior installation, use a quality construction adhesive and screws into anchors suited for use in the substrate on which parts will be mounted.

In either case, Adornador components can be treated just like wood. Pilasters, headers and friezes can be cut using a standard hand saw. All parts accept screws without pre-drilling and will never crack or split. Pilasters can even be bent slightly to accommodate crooked walls or openings.

When installing a pediment, use the H430 Header to accommodate any width doorway. Cut out a section at the center of the H430 and cover the joint with the H440 Keystone. On a narrow doorway, keep the H430 the same width as the pediment. On a wide doorway, let the H430 extend beyond the pediment.

Installing Door Surround Set

(P202 Fluted Set, P202 Dentil Set): Use a standard handsaw, a quality exterior grade construction adhesive, and suitable screws into anchors(conuntersunk) for use on the substructure that the parts will be mounted to. Finally, use a quality sandable, paintable, non-shrinking filler to fill screw holes.
